Been very quiet lately...
But now I'll give u a little update while I'm sitting here, writing in my new red chair:)
Since the last time I wrote I've been home in Stavanger! Spent some days at the mountains enjoying the snow!:) It was a lovely week!
winter wonderland....
But now I'm in Holland again. The days are just flying by! Yesterday our Student career counselor (the person with green pants....) invited the class to his home! It was a really nice evening!:)
A popular thing here in Holland is pot lock dinner (I don't know if it's written like that,...) Everybody bring some food and then we share it- it's really nice and you get to taste lots of good food!:)
There's some water problem in Groningen these days. So there's actually no water in my tab! And if I'm lucky to get some I have to boil it for awhile! Kind of funny! And maybe it's good to have problems like that now and then, cause I think it will help me appreciate it more when it's back!;) The funny thing about it is that all the classes today are cancelled because of it and the school buildings are closed! Can you imagine! In some parts of the world there's people that have to fetch water every day- but life still have to go on. But here everything is just shut down because of this (little) problem... anyways..
I've also got some new hobbies!:)
Every Monday I’m seriously learning how to shake my butt! I've started taking classes in African dance! He he:) Having a lot of fun!:)
(btw. This is NOT me.. just in case you wondered, he he:) )
For many years I've wanted to learn how to play the guitar, but I've, for some reason, never done it! BUT now I don't have an excuse anymore! A friend of mine went to Tanzania for 6 months, so I'm borrowing her guitar! And I've got some "How to play the guitar"-books from another friend! The books are in German, so in addition to learn how to play I also learn some German words. Which is actually very practical since the majority in my class is Germans!
I've also started with a Dutch course!:) Finally!
Groedemorgen!
Hoe gaat het ermee?
Groet, een met jou?
Ik ben Ingrid. Ik kom uit Noorwegen!
He he:) Still learning....
Probably the only language in the world where you're actually talking and cleaning your throat at the same time!:)
Wish you a wonderful week!
Hugs from me to you
